Community Investment
Green Valley Auctions & Moving gives out of gratitude, with purpose and for the Great Commission.
Focus on Hawassa Hope
What is Hawassa Hope all about and WHY do we support them?
Greg & Elizabeth Evans have travelled to Hawassa in Ethiopia with Greg & Charisa Knight 3 times in the past 8 years and can’t wait to return again. This short video introduces Hawassa Hope and why we believe God is using this organization so mightily! Take a few minutes to read Greg’s article about Child & Community Sponsorship through Hawassa Hope and how you can get involved - maybe even take a trip to visit YOUR “child!”
We Give Out of Gratitude
Throughout the Bible, we see the importance placed on giving. Beginning in Genesis, God tells Abraham that he is being blessed to be a blessing to others. The New Testament is filled with Scriptures instructing us to give and care for others. Jesus teaches us to give as well, but ultimately it is God’s gift of salvation (through the sacrifice of His son Jesus on the cross) that overwhelms us. Our desire to give comes from this eternal gratitude.
We Give With Purpose
As we work and give within our community, lives are changed and our whole community is strengthened.
We give intentionally to organizations in our community that we feel bring hope and life to people—organizations that empower a person or family to become self-sufficient. We invest our time and giving in charities that work hard at building relationships and restoring each person’s dignity and worth. It is our hope that as we serve out of our own brokenness, God’s grace and love will shine through.
The Great Commission
Green Valley works hard to not just support organizations financially, but to join with them through volunteering, hosting/participating in fundraising events, etc.
We also read in the Scriptures of the Great Commission, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Therefore, we also make giving and traveling internationally a priority. We support charities working in Developing Countries which are both fighting poverty and sharing the love of Jesus.
We strive to ensure that our resources are being used wisely and efficiently. We have travelled to Africa to see first-hand the work being done and the lives being changed.
We again focus on organizations that are building relationships, empowering people to be self-sufficient, and restoring dignity.
